Diablo Disco
Supporting local business is as important to me as working with international brands, so when Diablo Disco, a Kent-based mobile DJ company, asked if I could photograph some of their new lighting rig, of course I said yes.
We met up in the fantastic basement bar of the George Vaults in Rochester, Kent for the shoot and although I hadn’t been there before, I had worked with Diablo Disco on numerous occasions, so knew they’d pick a great venue to help showcase their new investment. They didn’t disappoint.
The aim of the day was to get shots of their new LED up-lighters that were purchased to help set the mood of each event that they would be playing at in the future. Also, it was a chance to test out their new GOBO projector, with interchangeable inserts (customisable for each event, if required), used with their company logo for the purpose of this shoot.
As you can see from the image above, the vaulted arch ceilings worked fantastically well with the up-lighters, enabling different effects and scenes to be created by setting the lights up with different colours. As well as having the ability to have a single colour output, the lights can fade through every colour of the rainbow as well as being able to flash in time to the music and even be set up with custom flashing and colour patterns – something that can really help get the party going, and having seen them in effect at a wedding only 2 days after this shoot, I can tell you, they made all the difference.
Diablo Disco is one of Kent’s leading mobile disco companies that really know how to make your wedding, party or corporate function memorable. If you would like more info, visit their website www.diablodisco.com They must be good – I’m using them for my wedding this year!
