BHA Corporate Photoshoot

Brightley-Hodges Associates are a young, dynamic team of creative minds. A communications agency helping clients with branding, marketing, PR, web and much more so they need to look the part in all of their marketing collateral.

With such a quirky and unique set of personalities, I thought a fantastic group shot would really help to bring their website and other marketing material to life. We didn’t hire a fancy studio, instead I think it’s also really important to see how and where clients work – so that their clients get a true understanding of the business their dealing with.

Photographing people you know can sometimes make your job easier as they are already relaxed around you, but those who are inherently shy will always duck for cover as soon as the camera comes out no matter who’s holding it. Everyone had a great day posing for various group shots in different set-ups including one that was lit and shot from outdoors, which worked fantastically well … and you’d never have known it was the quickest shot of the day – set up, shot and everything back inside again within seven minutes (the time in between two massive downpours!).

Once the group shots were done it was time for the individual headshots that would be used on the company website and social media sites. By this time everyone was more at ease with the camera so I was able to get some really nice shots in a relatively short space of time. During the day I had been giving everyone posing tips, so by the time the headshots came around, they were all posing like true pro’s!
