Red Ribbon Awards 2013

The Red Ribbon Awards is the only National awards ceremony of it’s kind in the UK – recognising the achievements of UK Family Firms, hosted by Family Business Place at London’s Lancaster Hotel.

With this being the third year I have covered this event, I have been able to see it go from strength to strength – reaching out to more and more family businesses – large and small.

I always enjoy events like this as it gives me a chance to meet up with people I’ve previously met and worked with, as well as meeting some new faces amongst the guests. With each year that passes, the word spreads and people seem to be shaking off the stigma attached with being a Family Business – being seen as being unprofessional if they even mention the fact – helped, no doubt, when big names and celebrities stand up to be counted as being Family Business Proud.

This year, celebrity Chef and all-round-nice-guy Michel Roux Jr gave a fantastic after dinner speech about his life within his own family business, going on to win the Red Ribbon Lifetime Achievement Award on the night.

Below are some shots of the winners and a few images of the night.
