VIP Event @ Bremont

Each year on the evening prior to the Family Ties conference, Family Business Place put on a VIP champagne reception for key family businesses and all of the speakers at the conference at a stylish and intimate venue. This year’s was held at the beautiful Bremont Watches boutique in London’s South Audley Street. Bremont is owned and run by brothers Giles and Nick English, with Giles giving a talk on the evening, outlining the history of the brand and their fantastic family story. On hand to capture some images of the evening, it’s always a pleasure for me to photograph such occasions, especially in such plush places and when everyone is enjoying themselves, merrily chatting away to other family business owners.

Although the boutique has only been open for six months, the company has establishing itself for the past ten years, making the most exquisite watches that are not only stylish, but practical and built to withstand situations that the majority of us will never get in to. With the company being steeped in aviation history, each watch tells a different story with their individual faces and features that related to the planes they were designed around. Their passion for aviation and the fact that they make some of the toughest watches around has led to a contract for Bremont to supply watches to different squadrons of fighter pilots in the US Air Force and are the only company to make a watch that’s subjected to being strapped to the wrist of a test dummy and ejected from a plane to make sure that it can take the stresses and strains, should the need ever arise!
